My primary mediums are underwater photography, video, painting and etching. I am interested in trying to get the inner and the outer together: the inner being the unconscious and the outer being real life. The emotional life in the water sometimes overlaps with the unconscious, which is as close as I can represent the experience of dreaming. Water is claustrophobic yet freeing at the same time. Being underwater can feel like death but it is more of a disconnection from reality. My desires as an artist are to create a pure escape from regular life and form a beautiful world that you cannot stay in for long.
